Well, I've moved on from my last job in Nebraska and taken a traveling construction Superintendent job. I am currently working in Washington state. Had a really terrible summer but that will pass...anyway home for the weekend and jumped on the old EVO was great to feel the wind in my face and I need to get it to my new job site in the spring. I miss this about as much as I miss my family. Funny how life can change in a split second, we lost my nephew, who we had raised, to an ATV accident in late summer and it turned our lives upside down. With the strength of my wife and the lord and some time we will be fine.

There's always one door opening as another closes... Seems as if life has too many surprises lately.... Sorry to hear about your nephew... Keep your wheels down and your face in the wind....

Thank you, this was all upsetting but this new opportunity is a great one that should allow my family to be comfortable and my wife can In time travel with me also. Oh and eastern Washington has some Great roads to ride! I'll be there about 14 months so we will see..

That's terrible about your nephew. So sorry to hear that.

But glad to hear about the gig. That sounds great.

My condolences on your loss. It may help spending some time in a new place. I spent 7 months in Pasco, on the Columbia River, the most peaceful place I've ever lived, liked it there, probably would have stayed if the job had lasted. A lot of eastern Washington is flat high desert with miles of onion and asparagus farms, but there's a lot of good roads and scenery, too. I never ran into any amount of traffic, but that was nearly 40 years ago. One thing I didn't know about the area till I saw it was there are some pretty big sand dunes near Pasco, didn't expect that. That was fun on a Honda ATC I had then.

Condolences on the loss. Glad you found a good change and nice place to be. Funny how life changes just when we get comfortable!

Today I found a 98 Dyna Superglide about 20 minutes from home.....
and a 98 Wide Glide in Anniversary colours about 1/2 hr away....
Both stock and relatively low mileage. Time to get back on the horse! Choices.

Eastern Washington is beautiful up north. I'm working on the Coleville Reservation and staying in Coulee Dam. This is very remote and very beautiful country with little or no cell service and the towns are over mountain passes. there are two ferry boats to get from one side to the other. Communication with my home office though is something we need to work on. These roads look to be great riding for next season. Thanks for the well wishes from all. Sometimes we need to talk and for me this is for me the easiest way.

Pulled out the Electra Glide for the first time in a couple of weeks this afternoon. Having spent those weeks on the Sporty, well, all I can say is I'm really feeling the glide in Electra Glide! Thing feels like riding on a cloud. A smooth, planted, and very, very slow cloud.

The Sporty is a hooligan. The FLH is a grownup.

What's up guys? I was perusing the forums looking for other Evo-types. I've had several bikes, but my current HD '95 FXD has been fun. Just finished the stage-1 set up, still in fine tuning the Fuel-air mix. Fun bike though. Last chopper was a hard tail built off the exact same bike model and year. Haven't seen a lot of love for the Evo crowd as time marches on. Not a big deal, it's not like the Evo saved HD back in the days after AMF or anything. Keep the wheels 'n heels down...Mo
