I test rode some bikes to scratch the itch while waiting for parts to come in.

I like you way of thinking. It's been a couple of weeks since my breakdown.

I think I'll have to check out the local dealer on Saturday.....

Thumbs up

Been away for a week, in which time P&Q has cleared the million mark for views. Quite a milestone!

Whooo hooooo, badly needed small cheap parts got delivered late this afternoon.

I get off work at 0700 and I think as soon as I get home, I'll put it together so I am ready to ride whenever this damn rain stops.

Once again, kudos to Surdyke for coming through for me!

Just out of curiosity what small cheap parts had your bike deadlined?

Nothing that was a real show stopper. Just some stuff having to do with saddlebag mounts, like rubber grommets and some threaded metal inserts that go into them. Moat of the state is under flash flood watch until Saturday night anyway.

It's a good day to drive a lifted Jeep. The governor declared a state of emergency for the entire state due to high water. Curfews are in place in many areas.

Drove through some deep water to get home from work this morning. Lots of roads have barricades, but I took an alternative route. Even so, I was thankful to have my Jeep.

FWIW, it's got a 3" lift and I am running 315/70-17 tires. That translates to tires that are 12.5" wide and just about 35" diameter on a 17" wheel.

I saw some stalled vehicles and stopped to help but the drivers of those vehicles told me they already had a tow truck on the way. They thanked me anyway.
