Looking good isn't all it's cracked up to be....trust me on that!!

"Lord, it's hard to be humble..."

Got in a 2 hour ride today, in the sun. About 50 here. Definitely not winter.
Went out to the old jobsite, saw the old crew and went for a beer and wings after they finished. Heck of a day!!!

It was 42 F here today... now you're just BRAGGIN', Dale!

Not lookin' too good for the Olympics, huh? Maybe they'll have to have women's beach volleyball (my all-time fave Olympic sport!) instead of the downhill this year!

The Olympics will go on. The indoor events are OK. Just ok, although it's not easy keeping the ice perfect at 60 outside.
The bobsled run is artificially cooled too, and Whistler is cooler, but unseasonabley high temps too.
The freestyle and snowboard venue is not good. Brown patches everywhere.
BUT the powers to be have a huge pile of money to fly snow in by helicopter, apparently.
Wonder who's paying for that???

Blizzards in July? Thanks Ken.
Went through a hailstorm in July 3 years ago. That was not so much fun.

Hey you picked the fight, Dale! I think it was that little hunter icon that prompted my smart-*** response!

But hailstorms are another thing altogether... not fun, nor funny. I've seen damn-near-softball-sized hail back in Texas that could really mess up cars, roofs, windows, etc. Very dangerous stuff... can't imagine riding in it!

Flying in snow by helicopter? Amazing...

The only way I can accept your apology and know the curse is gone if we meet and you buy me a beer, Ken. So how about we meet in Colorado in July???
Snow by helicopter cuz the show must go on.

That could be arranged, Dale. Never ridden in Colorado. Would be a nice ride out there! I was just saying to my wife a couple of days ago that I have always wanted to take a long ride out west. If I had someone to meet, that would make it more fun!

We have a long ride 'planned' out to GA and Fl etc, but no dates yet.
Sometime in the next year or two.

My sister looks straight at Pikes Peak from her house. The doughnuts at the top are well worth a try, but the air is a bit thin and damn cold, quite an experience!

I've gone cold all over - time for coffee....

I bet those things will be nice to ride with though..
