Actually I was curious.

I made it from Rochester Minnesota to Dripping Springs Texas in one day (granted it was a long one).

I'm not real familiar with the east coast so I don't know how long it takes to get somewhere from there.

Well as you can see from my map, the furthest I'd ridden to was Arkansas. Rode to Memphis first, which took all day riding and a few hours early a.m. riding the next day. We rode in to Arkansas while I was there.

I rode out to Salida once when I lived in Colorado Springs to a restaurant called Et's Landing. The guy that owned it shot this video and it changed his life. Unfortunately for me, after a 4 hour ride, arriving about 12:30PM, I went to the door and the sign said "Open at 4PM", much to my dismay, I went home never talking to the guy. I think it's closed now....bummer.

He said that he believed whatever was controlling that thing knew he was observing, and felt compelled to tell his story. He had a smaller restaurant at the time, before he opened ET's Landing. The whole restaurant was about this siting. He would talk to customers who wanted to talk about it. I'm a believer and I wanted to chat with him, but I didn't have all day! I had a Kawasaki Voyager XIII at the time, and though it was a "touring" bike, it beat the hell out of me and I just wanted off it. If I had had my Harley, I would have just toured the mountains 'til 4. Oh well.
Salida is well known for UFO sitings, could be an interesting visit!

Tim Edwards (restaurant owner) died in 2008.

Add 4 hours if you have to go thru the city or Jersey. The long way, upstate adds a couple hours......the East coast can be a little PIA, but upstate is beautiful

I'm not surprised. I was doing 85-90 on the toll road....... 85mph speed limit for those who don't know. And you were pulling away on the access road.
