Its great to hear what realistic people think. I am not caught up in the "Harley hype" Last Friday, I bought an 05 Electra Glide Classic, pretty much stock. I just like to ride so I am here to see what I can add to my liking and if it will fit, etc etc.
I also have an 85 LTD Goldwing. I do have to sell my06 VTX 1300R so i put it on Craigs list today. Hell, I don't even know what the letter designation is for my new to me bike. It rides great and I have always wanted a Harley anyway.
I am thinking of a bit louder pipes than stock though. Any thoughts on the screaming eagle pipes? My VTX has vance hines and they sound great

I'd probably bust a nut eating something that good. At work an older gal, who likes to bake cookies and such for us, makes treats she calls better than sex, OMG, us old folks knows what she means, fantastic eats!! I really shouldn't say older gal, being she's the same age as me, but she can bake up a storm!!

Congrats on your new Harley! I believe you have an FLHTC there - but there may be a Suffix such as "I" that they put on the FI bikes until the MoCo stopped making carbed bikes. Do yourself a big favor, and go out and buy the Genuine H-D Factory Service Manual, Parts Catalog, and any Supplement for your year and model - and get familiar with your bike. They will serve you well.

I don't like the H-D exhausts myself. I run V&H Dresser Duals headers and V&H Big Ovals on Bertha, our "Grande Dame" 1995 FLHTP; and the Fullsac X-Pipe and their 2" PowerCore baffles on Buster, the new kid. I like both of them!

Just so you are aware... you've posted on this thread in the Evo Classic Forum - which is for Harleys with Evolution engines made from 1984 to 2000. Since you have a Twin Cam engine, you might not get a lot of technical help in this particular forum.

But I have a twinkee now too, and they haven't kicked me out of the P&Q Clubhouse... yet... probably because I regularly bring treats! If I ever got rid of Bertha though, the guys in here would probably have me drawn and quartered...
