Graham... I will when YOU do!

I figured it would just be cheaper to buy a new one already put together instead of buying it piece by piece!

But the piece de resistance... Just now, NGH, on her way out the door to man her company's Hurricane Irene command center for three weeks in Charlotte (they do insurance adjusting...) said, and I quote:

"OK, SO FAR this year you've gotten a NEW top-of-the-line MacBook Pro, a NEW top-of-the-line iPad 2, a NEW top-of-the-line Avalanche LTZ, and now a NEW top-of-the-line Harley CVO something-Glide... the only thing you HAVEN'T traded in or outright replaced this year... IS ME! Should I be concerned?"
So I sez...
"HELL No, I have all the new toys I need this year... Plus, all those are CHEAP compared to what trading YOU in would cost me!"
Ah gugg gugg gugg... couldn't tell from the look she gave me whether she thought that was funny or not... but I did...

OH... the sig STAYS... Bigger Badder Bertha is the BOMB!

Today I bought this:

A new 2012 CVO FLHXSE3 Street Glide in Hot Citrus / Antique Gunstock!

I have nothing more to say in my defense, except:

1. We are, of course, keeping Bertha for NGB to ride,

2. I traded her old P.O.S. V-Star 1100 for the CVO, and finally got that monstrosity out of our lives forever,

3. I am going on a ride on the new bike tomorrow with the budding HDF "North Georgia Crew", and we will be honored to have in our company one genuine veteran Evo rider with over 200K miles on his venerable single-cam iron steed, who has ridden up from Florida to stay with one of the riders, PoorBoy here on the forum.

4. There are several CVO 110s in that group... (and one really competent tuner who I will gladly pay to have a crack at my new bike)... but at least for awhile I will have the NEWEST one! Probably won't last though... so I'm taking full advantage of the bragging rights before they disappear forever!

5. I'll bring the cake... and accept all punishments deemed necessary and appropriate by the Evo Brotherhood... IF you can CATCH ME! This thing is FRIGGIN' FAAAAAST and maneuvers like a GAZELLE! And it hasn't even been tuned yet!

WHOO-HOO!!!!
Looks like a great bike but remember you have to go to the Touring Forums for that one. I don't think anyone here could devise a worse punishment than that. LOL
Just remember to watch out for the cops while you are on the new bike.

.....which brings us full circle, to the start of this thread! We may have to call a special meeting to consider NGH's position in here now!

Of course, if he always brings cake, he might be able to plead extenuating circumstances.....

By the way, is that fancy paint brown, by any chance?

Well, if I ever want a GPS, or want to flame someone for buying a certain color, or not buying a certain color, or get into an argument about something else... then I would head over there. But for now I'll just continue to hang out here, if y'all don't mind.

BTW, just put on a fresh pot of coffee... but since NGB is gone for awhile, I have no cake...

Well Dale, since NGB will be riding Bertha now, she has instructed me to (GASP!) REMOVE all of the fringe! I don't understand why she doesn't want it on there, but I'll have a bunch of it now. Problem is, the new bike doesn't have saddle bag rails, nor a Tour Pak, and the footboards are a different shape... so none of it would fit on it anyway...

It's a SAD, SAD day...

Sure does look like it, huh Mike? I would love to get the forward-facing SE cone-shaped A/C like the 2012 CVO Road Glide Custom has... but the damn thing won't fit because of those speakers in the fairing lowers!

Guess ya can't have everything, huh? But the audio on this thing is UNREAL... 400 watts across 8 speakers... they could hear it 5 bikes away on the ride yesterday!
Couldn't resist changing the sig... if only to get Graham off my back!
