I do very little town riding, and even less interstate riding, on the Softail. I mosey around the 2-lane roads. Still, my mileage has gone up several mpg's since it got hot. My Evo doesn't particularly like cold weather!

That's a sharp looking bike, MJ!!

On an added note, my '08 ElectraGlide does well to get 42 mpg riding the same routes.

Think I will have some donuts now to have with my coffee before heading out to Fort MYers. Y'all have a nice day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Donuts? I'll be right over.....

50mpUSg? Cripes, that's 62 mpImpg. Remarkable. I could get that out of my Firebolts, but not my carb Harleys.

Thanks Scoteh,

Nice looking softail you have yourself. I agree with Dale. Apes would look sweet on there, but to each his own. I kept the miniapes on mine, but used 4" risers.

Doughnuts are a cultural thing! All depends on what we're brought up on!

I've had some wonderful jam doughnuts over here, but also had them at the top of Pike's Peak, which not surpringly are very different - but most agreeable!

Perhaps we should start The International Doughnut Trials, purely for research purposes, of course!
