Peace and Quiet with an Evo!

I bought my 97 Springer in 2002 at a state auction. It had 4954 miles on it. Since then I've put over 50,000 on it and no big issues. I know, 50,000 in 9 years isn't much right? Well factor in three of those 9 years I was deployed to either Iraq or Afghanistan and you could add almost another whole season as 'training' for those deployments. And I wouldn't call the riding season in Northern NY long, but I was averaging around 10,000 a year... give or take. Other than a new starter, regulator and general upkeep thats all I have done or do. If the motor ever goes... I'm sure I can either get it rebuilt or a new one. Its kinda like a kid... a permanent 'fixture' in your life. And I love my kids....
I'm off the FOB for a few weeks... catch you all later.

Thinking of funerals, Mrs B and I went to a family one last week, for the wife of Harold Clark. He was a professional motorcycle racer in his younger days and won BSA's first Clubmans TT at the Isle of Man on a 350cc Gold Star. End of an era! Harold died in 2003 while we were in the USA at the 100th celebrations.

and a small piece of cake too, please.
Gotta watch the heart.
Glad you are recovering and back in the saddle. Any tips to help the rest of us?

We need to get outta this cake rut.....y'all will be buying wallet chains and Denim Black Street Bobs next!
My Evo has done 70,000 miles and everything is original.....I think I might just start taking things apart to see why it isn't broken.
Only current issues are a weep from the rear pushrod tubes and a whine from the gearbox at 58-63mph...regardless of which gear its in. I thinks I will refresh the gearbox next week.
