Default 08' to 98' FLHRCI, "Are You Crazy"

My 1st Harley was a 95th Anniversary Road King Classic. I sold it when I went to the 08' Ultra Classic and then decided after a year of riding it that I wanted anothr FLHRC. So I bought the one that I have today, A 08' FLHRCI and love the way it rides.
Here lately I've been missing that old 95th and have been searching for another one to replace my 08'. My friends ask me if I'm crazy, wanting to go from a 96" 6 speed to an 80" 5 speed. I simply reply, I'm in no rush & therefore can take my time getting there. And when I get there my inner legs will be a lot cooler. And there thousands of twin cam Black Road Kings and very few 95th EVOs left on the road today.
So I can only ask, Am I Crazy? Or is it just an appreciation for a beautiful older Cougar?

Hmmmm, 2 newcomers in one day.
If I do the math right, that would be
1 cake per newcomer
+ 1 cake for who's ever turn it was to bring the regular cake
+ leftover birthday cake= 3 1/2 cakes

What a great day this is turning out to be!
Welcome to P&Q, men.
I got the coffee brewing, while you post up some pics of your EVOs.

I was told the same things when I went from my 06 to my 97. I am much happier.

LOL... I'll do my best. But I will say upfront that my Springer is here to stay. I'm sure I'll love the Street Glide, but I'll never part with my Evo.

Count me in. Just picked up a '97 Road King with 27,000 miles. Have had 2 sportsters and an '05 Ultra in the past 5 years. Riding season in Alaska doesn't last long. Lovin it so far. Engine seems quiter than a Twinkie.

I just bought my 97 Road King about a month ago. It had 8,500 miles on it but didn't run to good. Drained the tank and flushed it. Picked up a rebuild kit and cleaned and rebuilt the carb. Runs like a singer sewing machine and has a tick like one. I have changed the oil and did everything I can think of and it still tics.

My 90 Softail Springer may have had the same noise but didn't register because of all the noise from Samson pipes. My poor old Springer went down with cracked cases about a month ago with 178,000 on the clock. Can't let an old friend like that stay down so intend to buy a Harley crate motor and stick anothe EV27 and S&S carb off the old motor.
