SO... Birch White fairing, Tour Pak, and bags... Hi-Fi Blue fenders and side covers.. and now a Vivid Black tank?
'Round here, more than two colors is known as a "redneck" vehicle... But who ever heard of a British Redneck???
Howabout a "harlequin"! Not to be messed with. Also the name of the UK Harley Rider's Club magazine.
Like my tank, the batwing and tourpak were both secondhand. The batwing was originally coffee and cream, the tourpak was black and silver. So my bike was a harlequin for quite a while on a previous occasion, while I deliberated over what colour to paint them. I had previously had the fork shrouds and headlight binnacle painted a supposed hi-fi candy blue and had been disappointed by the results, so wasn't about to make that mistake again. So it was paint the whole bike, or come to some compromise, hence the birch white.
If and when I get this tank sorted I will probably try it out for a while before deciding my next move. I could have just the blue bits painted black, I suppose, to distinguish her from Bertha! Unfortunately having things painted to a high standard is very expensive, and the paintwork on this tank is quite something, which in turn is why I keep messing with this dent....

Nice, Ken.
Just back from the Oyster Run. Left yesterday in the sun, rode around the Olympic Pennisula, got a hotel, yadda, yadda, yadda... and woke up this morning in the rain, to actually do the trip. Oh well, hardly noticed!
Stopped for breakfast at Edison, at a famous old Saloon. 1/2 dozen grilled oysters and a Coors Light clameye... MMMMMM
In to Anacortes, lots of bikes, LOTS of oysters, and shrimp and seafood gumbo. Another dozen and time to go home. MMMMM
Will post pics later.
Bike ran extra good, with the cool weather. 40+ mpg 2-up and saddlebags full, including lots of slow riding in traffic. Gotta like that.
40 degrees F this morning, shivering me timbers! Leather pants (not chaps) , balaclava, helmet and gloves! It was a brisk ride. But 65 degrees later will make it worth it.
Just picked up a custom FXR frame, 200 swing arm, rear fender, custom tank with pop-up cap, front fender for $300.00. God I love guys that start projects that they can't finish. I guess this will give me another winter project!!!!
don't know the rest of your's experience but I find the cooler and moister the weather, the better my bike runs. Can sure feel those horsepower rules in come into effect.
