let's eat and then I'll go tinker on my WG. Cleaning the fuel filter this morning.
Also checking for a possible exhaust leak, as she is missing and popping at idle since the last time I pulled the exhaust off. HDF suggested it is a leak...
it was. Lower nut on the head pipe was finger tight, so I torqued it down and the idle is smooth again. The rest of the head nuts were tight. Probably missed that one in a rush.

OK, I'm ready for more cake, after my shameless response to my own posting.

on a serious note, my ride is missing at low and just off idle throttle. Has been for a few weeks now.
Checked the exhaust, checked the carb and fuel filter and intake; have not checked the timing or the VOES. Have a new set of plugs if needed, but the ones in there look good. Couple tanks of 94 octane.
Only starts missing when she's warm. 29, 800 miles.
What the ???

thanks

Hey Dale,

Check that your plug wires have good clearance away from the frame or engine. Sometimes a wire will spark to a grounded area and cause a miss.

Hope ya enjoyed your plate I fixed for ya!

I'm in for trying the frog's legs, Mike. At first glance, not so much, but seeing them breaded and fried...yum!
I'll check my plug wires again, They were rubbing on each other in the spring. Maybe they are back to that.

Peach cobbler is on the request list for today. (I'll let you know how it tastes, er, I mean, I'll share it around for sure!)

Nor did I, but google is our friend! Which variety would you like (scroll down)?! Peach sounds fine to me, but we may need a spoon each to eat it. Looks as if it will be best served warm, plus a little vanilla ice-cream, thanks....

We need an oven in here, plus a freezer!
