Graham and Bungo... you guys are getting TOO far out there for us simple-minded Americans... or "colonists" as you might still prefer to refer to us. I have no idea what the Hell you two are talking about!

Ken, open ye some single malt and you'll be a'cravin the sweet sounds of Northumbrian pipes, too.
On my bucket list is a trip to Scotland. Maybe we better plan a cake group trip.

Of course we are going to Ga and Fla first!

You damn well better be coming to Georgia, Dale! And you damn well better ring me up when you're in these parts, so I can show you what riding in the stunning North Georgia Mountains is all about!

A trip to Scotland to see the beautiful Scottish countryside, all the old castles, and of course the distilleries is most definitely on my bucket list too, Dale! Maybe we should plan a group trip to invade BungoBill's domain, rendezvousing (is that a word?) with the inestimable Sir Graham enroute (who I'm certain will agree to provide all the cake we can eat...), and hightail it up there on two wheels each! I'd ship Bertha over there for that! What a blast that would be! A real live HDF Evo convention!

I'm sure Northumbrian pipes sound sweet... but what I REALLY need to hear at first light in the morning is the equally sweet, albeit vastly different, sound of Bertha's V&H duals! My wife's V-Star 1100 is acting up, and I refuse to work on the damn thing any more - so we're taking it to a shop to have them deal with it. Then we're riding over to Kennesaw (north of Marietta) to Big Shanty Smokehouse, which is owned by our good friends Chic and Sissy Dillard, for some good ole southern BBQ RIBS with all the fixins for lunch! They do 'em right there, and although Chic doesn't SELL beer there, he always HAS beer there!

I've been away from Bertha and my wife (not necessarily in that particular order...) the whole damn week... and I need to get out and play with BOTH of them tomorrow! Hmmm... maybe I should go play with Mary tonight...

No BBQ ribs planned, but we are heading for a place that has the best crab legs!

Mmmmm... I LOVE crab legs, too! I have the that stupid T-shirt that says "I Got Crabs at Joe's".

Maybe we'll stop at the Dunkin' Donuts on the way out... cakes with holes in 'em... just stick 'em on the grips!

Enjoy your rides this weekend, everyone! Gonna be HOT here in North Georgia... 98 for the high today and a wicked heat index.

Hi ,If you come to Scotland Ill be VERY DISAPPOINTED (genuinely) if you dont contact & visit me if you decide to come over here.

Ive had a big problem with my bike since I left for a 700 mile round trip on Friday. I had to be "trailered" for the last 250 miles of the return journey and Ive just arrived home.19:30.GMT. Im sure you guys will know the feeling and the mood Im in. Will be posting problem on evo forum tomorrow, monday, for advice. Bungo.

We have relatives in Minnesota. While holidaying in Northumberland not far from Bamburgh we discovered their surname is the same as one of the infamous border reivers of the locality. We wonder if they also fled....

Can't see a Smilie for a piper. Serious deficiency that....
Hi Graham,Thanks for response. The Bedford Pipe Band is quite famous I believe. Bagpipes are great when the Piper has learned how to play them properly.
Its the learning curve....what a NOISE and practicing seems to last for years.
On a more serious note.....I decided to go for the long 700 miles round trip trip to Bridgnorth (Shrops) and back. The last 250 miles of the journey was courtesy of a Trailer!
Will be posting re. my Ultra problem tomorrow in the hope that you guys can give some advice. Bungo
