Thanks guys! I am very pleased with Bertha's new look. I was hoping she would look good with the new wheels and tires, but you're right... it IS a completely different new look! So glad I with the wide whitewalls! I love it! This is the way she SHOULD look!

 

I've considered getting the wide whites for my fatty but they told me that since I use amsoil I should get over 1000K on my tires?????hahahahaha I had to come back and get another look see it do look slick.

I think I have been lucky. My 150 tyre is dead centre in my fender, with identical clearance each side, but it only just misses! My backup if it didn't fit was going back to a 140.

What I found is that fitted tyre widths don't correspond to the maker's data. My 140/90 Avon Venom was supposed to be 143mm wide when fitted, but measured 139mm and the 150/80 was supposed to be 150mm but is 153mm. So changing between brands or even models may improve or ruin what clearance either of us currently has. That's the problem with wandering away from a manufacturer's recommended spec!

 

what I am looking to put on my bike is a 140/85 if one exists.
That would be wider without the additional heighth.

On another note, I missed out on the 2002 swing arm. Auction was supposed to end at 8pm, so the wife and I went out for a nice ride up to Gold River. Got back at 5:30 and the auction was already ended WITHOUT A BID!! Man, I hate it when they do that. Guess I gotta stop waiting until the last minute.
