Default frame compatibility

this is for you experts out there. will a 93 evo motor and drivetrain bolt into a fl style shovel swingarm rubbermount frame. ive got a motor and tranny and want to build something with it. my stuff is rubbermount from a 93 fxr and the frame im looking at is a shovel fl style. looks like it will fit but just thought id get some input if anyone has experience with this.

Should fit, the cases are almost the same. Most aftermarket frames state they will fit pan, shovel and evo engines so the mounts must be the same. Never done it but I'm sure Dog or someone will chime in that has done it.

Evo's are a bit taller than shovels, and usually they will not fit into a solid mount shovel frame. But a shovel rubbermount frame means FLT or FXR, these frames were used as the test bed when they were designing the evo engine. An evo should fit into one of these frames from 1980 to 1984.
