Default lube or grease intake gaskets for better seal?

I'm in the middle of installing new intake manifold gaskets at the heads and where it hooks on to the carb. ANyone use some sort of gasket type lube or sealant or do you just put them on dry? I thought I read somewhere that a little lithium grease would help with a better air tight seal between the carb and manifold. 98 evo with a cv carb.

I meant to mention that earlier but took off riding before the thunder storms started...

Grease. Plain ole' wheel bearing or general purpose type. Just a very light coat, enought to make them slick enough to move and settle in the ring/manifold fittings. And in the grommet, only on the inside where the carb slips in.

Again, just a very light coat. Wipe them as dry as you can with greasy fingers and you'll be just right

Very little grease if at all, we use armor all as it drys out and helps keep the gaskets/manifold from slipping. You want a little movement but not too much.

Never thought of the ArmorAll, but I use Windex to lube up rubber hoses, etc.

I been using (Dawn) liquid dish soap fer years, allows movement w/out damage on install, & dries on first heat...

I didn't think about the dawn or the armour all. Good ideas. I had some white lithium and it worked like a charm.

As always coming from John a good idea, but do not overdo it. Personally, I have a can of 3M Silicone Dialectric grease. Use it on everything rubber and electrical including hose fittings. Never though about the Armorall idea though. The key here is a little goes along way.
