I don`t know how it is in the USA (easier to get parts than here) but Evos are old (Last Evo was produced in 2000 - 8 years agoo). Most of people who rides don`t want to work on bikes but they want ride. TC is almost trouble free. On my Super Glide (had 2001 FXD) I was just replacing oils. On my curent ride 1993 FXR I still need to do something. Nothing serious - intake manifold gasket, stator was burned , now it started to leaking oil from primary (need new gasket). The starter also need inspections. And both bikes FXD and FXR has about the same mileage 38k miles.
Spoke to a guy a few months ago. He was working on his 3 year old Harley.
What was he doing to his 3 year old Harley? He was using wire/steel wool
to clean of surface rust, which had affected quite a number of areas on the bike.

Twinkie riders are always talking up how big their engine is and say that the Evo is "just" an 80 incher. If they would learn to ride rather than rely on that big engine, they'd be a whole lot better off.

I love those types and I really crap in their cheerios with the old shovel . It's " Just " a shovel so I " Just " give them a good view of rear fender when riding with them . Most do try twice

And your right 90% can't ride their wives right much less that bike .

Having owned a Twinkie 88. I will say that my EVO with the EV27 cam and carb mods would take my old bike. Plus it is just so much freaker cooler.

Just wait till I do some head mods with high comp pistons.

The biggest difference I find between my '96 evo and the guys I ride with's '12 twin cams with 110 cu in motors is, the BIG FRIGGEN MONTHLY PAYMENT for riding on the same roads as me.,,,

I just wouldn't feel right riding a "Twinkie".
