Default Progressive Shocks question for an FXWG...

I've been looking at progressives shocks and I must say i'm not sure what I need. They have so many different choices. I know I need a heavy duty shock because I will be traveling alot with my bike and carrying alot of things with me. I want something also that is at least versatile enough that when I'm just cruising by myself that I can adjust for the cool lowered look too. anyone have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

I have the progressive 412's, 11 inch. nice lowered look, nice ride.
you can adjust spring preload, but does little or nothing to ride height.

My cuz has a 72 SuperGlide. He put a set of progressives on his bike and said they are super. I asked which ones he had put on and he couldn't say...too much smoke...lol. I had just put a set of 422's on my Nighttrain, and visually, compared to his shocks, mine look far smaller around. After he and I talked a bit more, he said he thought they were something like a 440. But they are chromed and much larger around than the Fox shocks on my Wide Glide or the 422's I have on the Nighttrain. Hope this helps..

I run Progressive 440's on my 96 FXDWG. Big difference in ride comfort, especially on long trips. They come with a choice of standard or heavy spring. Both are adjustable
