Default Headlight/elctrical problem

So it's happened twice in the past two days. I'm coming to a stop at night, and my headlight goes out. First time I discounted it as a weird thing, but the second time I was far from home. I turned my ignition switch back and forth, turned off my spotlights and accessory tailights, and somehow the headlight came back on. The order in which I did those things and what made it come back on I cannot say for sure. The first time it happened, I shutdown the bike and fired it back up, and the headlight was on.
&nbsp\\;
So today I'm going to check the headlight plug, any grounds that I can find. Any other ideas? The bike was running perfectly, no problems with that. It was only the lights that went out.

My flhs did the same thing.&nbsp\\; I had to redo the connections for the plug that goes to the headlight under the dash.

When I had that problem on my 98 FXDWG it was a loose ground wire. Check all of them.

I re-tightened my headlight ground to fix mine. It must have been a little rusty but it wasn't loose.

Sounds like a pinched wire somewhere and when you stop the front forks compress and put a crimp on the wire. Just my .02.

My 95 bagger started doing the same thing. Wiggle the ignition switch and the light would come back on. Eventually it quit working completely. Had to replace the switch.
