1990 FLHS here, owned from new. Until I changed to an S&S motor I used Harley oils in mine and black filters. The one I have here in my hand is 63805-80A, marked very clearly, "Made in the USA". Shows how long it is since Dr Hess bought one!

I use the cardboard tube out of a roll of kitchen paper to guide the spent oil from the tank passed the rest of the bike. The drainplug goes down it to into my bowl, but that is easier to clean than the bike!

Older EVOs are notorious for the lower jugs seeping/leaking so if and when this happens I would highly reccomend the Hayden oil fix.

I switched over to James metal gaskets when I had a seep last year ( I didnt know about Haydens then but will be installing the oilfix next time it starts to seep) and everthing is tight as a drum.

Oil is a kinda touchy subject sometimes but looking at the data I would suggest Mobil 1 or Amsoil none the less.

Is what I've used for about 8 yrs. in my '91 FLHS and it seems to work fine. The "pure" designation is supposed to mean less sludge build up in the oil tank. I also use the "long"/3 1/2" oil filter with an integral nut/17mm ( I know...metric) for easy removal.

Thanks for that info on the "Hayden Oil Fix" btw; I'll definitely keep that in mind if I need to open my motor. This HD Forum never ceases to amaze me in the short time I've been on it.
