If you're interested in Mikuni tuning, Joe Minton has an in-depth article on that very thing in the current issue of American Rider (June issue). I regard him as a real expert in real-world power, as opposed to the dyno queen type. The article is on their website too.

I have an S&S Super G on my 89 inch stroker. My air/fuel ratio is as close to perfect as you can get. It runs great.

Mikuni 42 here. Love it, once dialed in, It's like the old lady, you just can't beat em.. Better responce than a yost power tube IMO.

 

What have you decided to use on your 103? FYI I have a 45 HSR set up for S&S G manifold andair cleaner with new set of throttle cables,culd give you a good deal.Dog

 

got a 45 HSR. haven't had the opportunity to get everything up and running as of yet. will keep ya posted...
