A little off topic butI wastrying for the StreetGlide lookand wanted to ditch the pillow seat of course the dealer said that the only seat's that would fit is 84-96 for my 91 but with about 10 min work I used an 06 RoadGlide seat really changed the bike. Now adding the StreetGlide rear Facia and going to some custom taillights and ditching the wide white.

Lee, gald to here everything worked out. We just finished installing a "98" inter/outer fairing on a 92 ultra, looks sharp. The dumb a$$es down at the dealer said it would not work, scarey how these dopes work on bikes. I take it you got your radio problem worked out. MP

I took the trunk off my 97 ultra. I put a mustang solo-pillion 4 channel rack with short backrest. it just makes the bike "easier" around town and if I need to I could put the tour pak on in 30 min. before the big one.
I put a detachable set up on my old 91 and used the parts from a 95 road king and every thing worked out just fine. That bike had newer bags 93-present,newer exhaust all kinds of stuff from the newer bikes. It had a corbin solo with backrest
the dealer around here is SOOO bad- nuthin fits-not even the new stuff. I do all my stuff through independents or on line unless I gotta have it.

4x4given I see you dumped your cb as well . I did the same.
I do like the color of your bike. mine is black and it's really hard to keep up with. I am going to paint it probably next year and probably blue.like my 91 was.

That's awesome that you figured out how to install a detachable tour pak on your 93'. It just kills me that the dealers consider a 2013 an old bike now. At least my dealer does.

I just recently installed a detachable tour pak kit on my 97'. My only challenge was finding the right combination of new and used aftermarket and HD parts to keep costs down. My only disappointment is that I cannot seem to put the tour pak on the bike by myself. The mounting rack is so much smaller that the tour pak that I cannot see the mounting points on the rack and line them up with the docking posts while holding onto the tour pak. If anyone has any tricks or pointers on how to snap on the tour pak by yourself, let me know.
