Default EVO shake at idle?

I have a 1996 RK with a 80" EVO at idle I notice the motor shakes quite abit but once I'm cruz'n it smooths out nicely. Is this common on these motors? Also, Is there anyway to smooth down this shake?

Never seen that happen with a Harley. Yours must be broken. I'll take it off your hands.

Serioulsy, all the rubber mounted Evos do that. Shake at idle, smooth out at speed. If its the other way around, you have a problem.

Yes, all Fl(touring chassis), Dyna's, and FXR's are rubber mounted.

If it doesn't shake like a paint mixer at idle, it ain't an Evo.

I know I'm the last person that should reply however..........

I just bought a 96 Ultra with a EVO. The guy purposely didn't start it for a couple days so I could see it start and run cold. The darn thing shook like a paint mixer. I didn't think too much about it since itsa harley... LOL
I kind of like the idle shake myself, even though it smoths out a lot after its warmed up. [8D]

A single fire ignition is suppose to smooth out the vibration at idle, other than that, it's a waste of money unless you have a highly moded engine or you run at over 5000 rpm alot.
