Rode my 95 FLHTC today for the first time. First time ever on a Harley wow ...My teeth chatterd together at the redlight .. I thought, um,, well, "WOW" this is the best thing i have ever been on evos ar so fun.

 

Yep, my 1996 shakes a bit at idle exactly as you describe. Gotta love those EVOs.

 

I thought they all shook. Learn something new everyday here. My 98 LR shakes at an idle and I keep the idle up at 1000. From the idle shake it goes to a vibration at about 1600 to 2000 rpm then it smooths out. I don't worry bout what I can't see in the mirrows cause they are so small I hardly use them anyway, lol. Makes me feel like Elvis after riding around town all day.

 

Don't like the shake get a V 8. Come on guys My Shovel shook like hell, and so did my Pan. You want a smooth bike that shift perfectly without the clunk and no shake. Buy a Gold Wing, your Dad will be proud of you.

 

I lookat motorcycles like women... I expect them to leak a little and shake while riding them.... Its a little easier to select a bike though.. You know you wont get a "dead ride" out of a Harley..

 

shake ? hell mine bounces like an excited puppy waiting to go for a ride, and the the twin cam dynas do it as well, ;ike they said dont want any life or soul in your ride by a jap multi and ride off into tedium

 

The shake keeps you awake at the lights! The earliest rubber mounts were shovels and they do it too, it is what two whopping great pistons dancing together do.... [sm=smiley20.gif]

 

So it's my Fatboy that shakes, I thought I had Parkinson's !!!

 

My wife insists that I leave the motor idle

If you know what I mean !!
