Hey, I love the shakety, shakety, mirror jumping, EVO, I like the feel of it. When I pull up next to somebody at a stoplight, and see me bouncin'all over the place, it looks like the handle bars are tryin' to jump off the bike, they dang sure know I'm ridin' a Harley !

my '97 Heritage Springer with rigid mount Evo bored and stroked shakes the whole bikeso bad at idle when I look in the mirrors I can't see the difference between a yellowVW beatle and a school bus.

my Ultra rubber mount motor shakes just the motor, but it does look odd till you get uesd to it.

have fun

Love my shake at idle evo. As you get up to speed it smooths out.

The Dyna Glides all shake a lot because of having only two rubber mounts. They went to that on the touring bikes too, but I can't remember what year. The older FL's and the FXR's didn't have an excessive amount of shaking.

Nice bike King96, it's all about the shake.

You won't be able to eliminate the shake but you might be able to minimize it a little. Check to make sure your idle is set right or a hair to the high side. If it is too low you will get more vibration. Also, it can help to overfill your forkoil by about 1 oz. on each side if you are noticing too much vibration at the front end. And make sure you have lubed the front fork bearing regularly.

My 97 RK shakes like they all do but what cracks me up is that at idle the front end shakes and if you apply the front brake you feel it in the seat instead

If it's excessive, just tap the idle speed up a bit. That usually turns the "shakes" into a reasonably smooth "rumble."
