Ethenol gas question/issue

RE: Ethenol gas question/issue
I don't doubt that the ethanol was the problem. Ethanol is a far less efficient fuel than gasoline and is very corrosive. It also absorbs water readily and water is also bad for your engine. Most people see the higher octane number on ethanol and think it's better than gas, but the octane is simply and anti-detonation measurement. The BTU's in gas are the same from regular to premium. Burning ethanol creates fewer BTU's than burning the same amount of gas. That's why you always get fewer miles per gallon when using ethanol.
I wouldn't recommend ethanol for use in ANY internal combustion engine.
