Default Old Trick To Lubricate Your Clutch Cable.

- plastic bag over the end. Use a rubber band to make
the seal.

- pour in engine oil.

- turn the other end of the bag into a "knot" and the
pressure will slowly force the oil into the cable sleeve.

- amazing how smooth my clutch is now.

cheers

It's a lot easier and cleaner to just use the little tube on a can of WD40.

- I use WD40 for the throttle cables.

- heavier oil for the clutch is better.

I like the idea, but I would think thatI would use gear oil like a 85w. The heavier the better.

- hi 89.

- you're right , heavier oil is better for the clutch cable.

- the engine oil (a leftover bottle of 20W/50 HD oil) was
all I had on hand.

- but improvement to theclutch action is like day/night.

- have gotten alot of great advice here, and hope this
onehelps someone on this board.

cheers

Since I have to replace the clutch lever, I'll give that a try. Anybody have one they want to get rid of?
