Old Trick To Lubricate Your Clutch Cable.

Clutch cable lube
I haven't heard anybody mention what I have been using since Shep was a pup. I have been using a chain saw since the 1950s and that chain lube they sell you to oil the high speed spinning chain cutter is stickier than you know what. I fill up an eye dropper with the stuff and let it drip into a clutch cable. It is not like motor oil so it sticks and runs very little. If you know somebody that cuts wood ask for an eyedropper full of their chain lube, it works.

They used to make a liquid chain lube in a metal can with a tiny spout. (blue and yellow) That stuff is great, because it's thin and penetrates very well, then after a few hours, it sets up like spray-on chain lube, real sticky and slick. Bar lube is great too, but helps to heat it up and thin it out, but the old plastic bag trick would work with it overnight.
Funny - very few people remember why we all wore black t-shirts... ah, the good ol' chain drive days
PS, PB Blaster will dry up real quick too. Great for rust, but not for lube after a day or so.

Synthetic oil for cables !!!!
Then fill it with my favorite Synthetic oil, M1..& add a vacuum cap to plug the end..This makes it re-fillable & of course re-usable too..
It works SUPER as cable lube. Reduces fricton & adds life to cables & stays lubed on cables long time..
I use it on all cables...
