I mean it! We're just shooting the **** and having real conversations with an occasional problem to help a brother out with. Unlike the other areas with the twinkies where most every thread is to discuss my bike broke, bad dealers and "guess what I broke" threads, then you get the smartass who's got to burn somebody for not fitting in, sometimes causing a fight to decide who's got the meanest keyboard.

I agree Rudedog. Some times I get so tired of the crap in the other sections. Expecially the smartazz remarks. It has gotten to where I always check this section first.

Right on, RudeDog,......it's really getting tiring on the two main threads, ya know the ones I mean. With all the idiot threads, and theres always somebody to "correct" you, no matter what it is you say.

Many years ago I worked for a car dealership, they preferred dealing with customers that were a little better off, hated selling cars to someone that could barely afford it because they were the worst people to deal with, always complaining. It seemed that way, the people that were overextended always had the most complaints, whereas the people that could afford what they purchased didn't get as excited over every little detail. On another site I had a fellow that just bought a new twin cam get all over me for something I said and although I accepted the complaint and even acknowledged that he must have been better than me because he had a new twin cam , in the back of my mind I remembered what I saw at the car dealership and people being overextended.

I think most evo owners have selected models that fit their personal needs and tastes rather than fit in with the yuppie crowd, so they tend to be more understanding. I don't think the evo is better than the twin cam but certainly the owners of evos are better to share ideas with on line.

 

Yep, I come here first, then the last three under tech sections and occasionally the softail,showdowns and detailing. I don't even look in the off topic or HD chat. I think the oil section is good reference, but I don't understand how much discussion still goes on there. How many times can you ask the same question?

 

couldnt agree more with all the above...never had nothing but an evo..if it ever just retires itself..and I cant find another one,guess ill just quit riding.

 

Hey guys. Not invading your forum or anything (although I think I created it). I think we need to start a section in the forum for members who started in 2005 and 2006 so all us old guys can get together like we used to and have some fun.

You guys don't bitch about dealers cause there aren't that many left that who remember what an Evo is.

 

Why be segragated at all? I don't surf any specific section/forum myself... I just go directly to "post since last visit" and then chime in whatever new post strikes me... such as how I stumbled upon this~ In my opinion this is ALL an HD forum... as in the main addy HDForums.com~ Growing up and being raised with Harley's all around me, I never once heard any model segragation going on until I joined this forum~ Just doesn't make any sense to me~ Why can't we all get along...? It's all about Harley-Davidson...

 

Terry, brother, I realize you are the admin of this fine site, but to make a statement like that...? Why didn't you just cut off membership after 2006 if you really felt that way? Makes me feel like my contributions was no more then highway robbery~ If I had known you felt that way, I wouldn't have bothered to support a board I'm obviuosly not welcomed at, since I joined too late~ [&:]
