Good Point..I too run S&S..depending on the Ride!!Hell, Started with an L, then of course a B, which I still Run One..and If the B didn't be so Darn Long...I probably Never would have gone to an E... as I simply do Not require a Squirter...
The G is Nice too...as an intermediate Step to The Real Deal...D, 1 stock, and 1 Bored D in fact..
One Day my B will have a Proper Thunderjet and Tune...should really Shine!!! Even if my Knee suffers!!!
But Fact is, The CV gets a much better Signal than any E ...and so certainly benefits Manners..Can't help it!!!
S&S = No Manners... I would Never say that. Course I do Not feel that the Rattle of that Japanese Carb is a Mannerly thing either..

Yea...well I do Not prefer the Damn thing. But, out of Necessity, and with the Tuning Tips provided by Joe Minton, I can Make the thing Work...rather Well really. Until the Shafts wear at the Body!
Useful for some of the Dirt Poor Boys in my neighborhood. And if yer looking for "honestly Original" (AMCA, etc)
And..especially back when, there were some Very Cool Air Cleaners for them...most all able to use K&N...LOL
