My last EVO purchase I “thought” was dirt cheap and an unbelievable buy… and I’m happy. However since buying it I have even seen nicer ones with lower miles and better upgrades go for significantly less than I paid for mine. There was a 97 Road King one that sold hours after being posted with All Screaming Eagle parts at 88” EVO with 11,000 original miles with receipts and two week old brand new Dunlop's, battery and three hole fluid changes. Had upgraded suspension, 6 speed.. it was gorgeous. Asking price was $3,000. As a whole though the EVO’s are selling faster and for more than the Twinkies.

My Road King

Day I bought it.

Now.

HDs core market is old men and people who bought around the 2008 recession are selling. Cheap used HDs are wonderful for the next generations of owners as it was in the 1970s.
In constant dollars a grand in 1970 is over four grand today so three grand now is dirt cheap.

Good. When anyone could afford a big twin the biker world was a better place, and more used bikes means more new owners with an appetite for wrenching.
