It sounds like you might be within reach of an EV13. I have no experience with the Crane cam but can vouch for the EV13. I took the EV27 out of my 80" a year or so ago and have been so much happier with the performance. My bike isnt a heavy bagger and I dont do 2-up riding, I have a stripped down lightweight FLSTC and I ride in various environments - city traffic, country hills, twisties and long boring motorways. The EV13 produces power right from idle and is always eager to push the bike onwards. I dont rev the bike too high as I dont really need to but havent really found a spot where the powerband falls flat. The EV27 on the other hand never seemed to get going until I was over 3k RPM and it frustrated the life out of me.
