agree 100% is red flag especially when friend lives 5 min away & can check bike out for me.

was hopping someone in this forum would recognize the bike and know the seller (if they exist)

 

Looks like a valid listing to me. Gives a phone, 603 is NH and says to call to see it, nothing sketchy there. Could very well be a friend who's listing it for someone not computer savy. Still a lotta ole timers up there that don't do computer.

 

Seller would not let my friend view bike on my behalf, stated “didn’t want owner to know what he was selling it for”

definitely worth avoiding IMO

What sucks is that is a good looking stock bike, might be worth the time to call the guy again and feel out the situation. Going to be hard to find another one that nice, good luck.

 

agree on hard to find however seller definitely hid the fact it wasn’t his bike.
Have 5 bikes in garage (2 need to sell)
not in hurry- right bike will come at right time
ride em don’t hide em

 

I have dealt with people that seemed sketchy at first, turned out they just didn't have any people skills, carry on.

 

Was he trying to sell it to you sight unseen ?
