Starter noise and smoke.
97 FLHTCUI
My starter makes a sort of grinding noise on occasion, similar to the sound in video about about 33-36 seconds in.
So after watching the video I assume i have a starter clutch problem and replacement is the way to go.
At the same time when i get that noise, I, two or three times have gotten a puff of smoke from the right hand side, I assume from the starter , but it happens so fast i can't see where it's coming from.
Any ideas on any of these things?
