Evo oil pump failure - what to do?

Update!
I decided to buy a new S&S motor. I'm a little disappointed in my decision, but ultimately I think it was the best way to have a bike again that I could rely on. I just bought this bike from a family friend and want to keep it forever, so the investment isn't about "can I get my money back"
I am keeping this original motor though and going to do a teardown this winter to investigate and learn/build some confidence.
Question:
I bought this brand new motor, and I want to make sure I don't get any metal in it from what my oil pump could have thrown through the system. Do I need to flush out this oil tank somehow? Should I just replace the hoses or just pull them off and flush them good with some water and dawn?
