For example, my ride is a 1996 FLHT (Standard?)

Nice bike. I’d say that qualifies as a classic. Looks a lot like mine. Where’d you get the windshield?

this appears to be the only way I can answer? Thanks. She was Purdy when I got her, now she's PRETTY. lot of time has gone into this.
. Windshield was off ebay or similar. For about $30 I cant see spending almost $200 on something you can't tell the difference when something else is available

so it's 30 years to be classic? It should go by available parts. . Lol, I've spent so many hours on line tracking down stuff. Sometimes the wrong part. Got real lucky on my 2nd primary cover. Very good chrome and the ins cover ond derby were usable from the 1st one I bought. (Just 1 example)
. It's rough.

Must Antique clubs consider 25 years Vintage, 35 years Antique. In NYS we can get Historical plates after 25 years. Vintage plates, which is using an original year specific plate, also for 25 years and older. Recently registered Vintage plate for my 1991 Sportster. And she is only 5 years away from being eligible for AMCA meets.

That said, we are all getting old. It seems cool to have a bike old enough for AMCA events, until you remember you bought the bike new!??!?!?!?!?!?!?

If parts were the factor then 10 years would be the point to call it old.
