I'm running a Scorpion clutch in mine as it either has the 96" or the 113" motors in it.

Griz
Yeah I wanna swap the guts for a 6 speed, for highway/interstate riding. I also grabbed a scorpion clutch. MAN that is nice.

So having put about 150 miles on the new Ultima so far, holy crap this thing wants to fly. I've been riding like I normally do and keeping the heat down with short trips & long stops. Not rippin thru the gears real hard, but I took her to 100mph for a mile or 2 yesterday. It's so easy to do now lol, 100mph feels like nothing. Trying to follow the engine's manual as closely as I can. But so far she runs beautifully!

Got the old motor home & started dismantling it.

Rear piston

Rear head, looks like some cracks in the valves, nice big ding in the aluminum at the 9 o'clock position

Front cylinder, note the chunk of metal resting on the piston

Front head

Rear piston after I pulled the cylinders

The chunk from the front cylinder

Those heads aren't stock. Looks like someone put some money in that motor.

What got sucked into the motor to cause that.. Was there an S&S carb on there?

Mikuni carb/intake kit. And I have no idea how that chunk got sucked into the front cylinder because the carb is absolutely fine. I wish I could bring this to someone who really knows their stuff, because I have no idea how this all happened. Far as I can tell the cylinders still look really good. Someone put some $$ into this engine, Jim's rockers & lifters, adjustable pushrods, Wiseco pistons, not sure what the cam is but it's undoubtedly aftermarket.

I have seen valves bounce around from cylinder to cylinder in a SBC. When your turning rpm's material can and will bounce from cylinder to cylinder.. Something got in there to punch the hole..

Repeated detonation can do that, the oil getting into the combustion chamber can make it want to detonate more.
