Iirc you need to remove the fork to get off what is needed to get the spring out.
With this kinda question it obvious you need to get a service manual Sir

Sorry, spent every penny I had buying this and am on fixed income so I cannot run out and buy anything. Just wish some1 would have told me you need to be 7 ft tall to ride it. According to this gorum teplacing the springs is easy.

Not far enough apart yet.......find a blowup on the internet if you need it. But basically you need to take the most of the front end apart and remove the forks from the triple trees.

The cap you unthreaded only allows access to add oil. That cap threads into the spring compression nut (visible in your top photo) and can only be removed by getting the fork leg out of triple trees. I know you said you don't have any coin right now but the factory service manual needs to be your first purchase if you're going to be doing your own work.

Along with what you have already been told, new bushings and seals as well.

Your not there yet, and only have removed the air cap bolts.

Need to loosen the triple tree clamps top and bottom, drop the forks down enough so the top spring retainer cap flats are below the bottom of the top triple tree, re-tighten the bottom triple tree clamp to hold the fork bodies in place, loosen the real top spring retainer cap that has the two flats (don't remove it yet), loosen the bottom triple tree clamp again, to drop the shock out one by one with the front tire, fender, and brake calipers removed, then once you have the forks in hand, can remove the top spring cap retainer to get to the top springs.

As for when you go to reinstall the forks, don't tighten the triple trees, or fully tighten the rest of the bolt yet, since you need to pogo the front end to settle the forks in place, before you tighten everything back up.
