Default Best Dual Fire Coil

Hey all. I am having some issues and think that the coil may be my issue. I will test tonight, I know a coil can test ok, but still not function properly. Any recommedations for a replacement? What are you guys using.

I don’t have a lot of experience with options, but I have stock coils on a ‘97 with 100k, and a ‘99 with 48k with zero issues.
On advice from a trusted source, I bought an Accel coil and tossed it in my saddlebag along with the replaced stock ignition module on my ‘97 in anticipation of a roadside problem... they have spent the last 24 years going where I go, waiting their turn.
Unless you have a need for high output... I’d go stocker

If you were running the stock coil, I would also recommend picking up a take-off OEM coil. I see a few decent ones at the swapmeet all the time. Good luck.

Yes, no problem with a stock one. They are pretty reliable.

Aloha,
at my Sporty a assumed in the past also a bad coil but there was just a connection issue based on copper rust at the outlet where the ignition wire comes in.
So check first for good contact surface.

We stock 3 ohm, and 5 ohm Dyna coils as an OE replacement when extremely rarely needed.
