Box it up and send it to Hillside for a complete rebuild. I think if you dont' go whole hog and redo this thing from the very inside out you're going to be sorry. I bet the inside of the crankcase looks like an Arabian nightmare. I saw something that looked like it was going to need welding no one else mentioned too.

You have a point about a total rebuild, if i lived in the US or even the UK I'd find some options for that but as 98hotrodfatboy says, it becomes too expensive from out here and where I am this kind of expertise is so rare its an expensive commodity.
May just need to try and sell her as a "project" or take a year or so and start by breaking her right down to the frame, to see what really needs replacing (maybe the whole engine) and to rebuild her as a very long term project myself.

Thanks Scott, they are the lucky ones. I would love to do something with you guys but I think the post both ways plus import duty on the return to Spain...plus the new parts etc would make it unfeasible for the moment.

Dude, I feel for you and wish there was a way I could help.. I would suggest you get with a local MC or riders club and see what they might have to assist you in obtaining what you need to get back on the road... We in the states are fortunate and many don't realize the cost of what we have till it's not obtainable...

Wow, I didn't know the OP was in Spain. However; I still think it's worth a look to see what the shipping costs would be. Hillside said they had done this before, Scott will know. I'd be willing to bet it's still going to be cheaper in the long run anyway. Heck, crate the thing up and chunk it on a banana boat. It'l get there eventually. It won't cost a dime to research shipping costs and for that matter, the cost of the entire project.
As for the welding; look at the pictures. I saw one pic that looked like it was the bore for the cam bearing that was ripped on the end.
