Are you using the all rubber type compliance fittings?

Ordered one this morning https://*******.com/nkfbhbn9 With the adapter for the CV I like the idea of being able to bolt the old butterfly on if I have to. Now the 2-3 week wait for it all.
Still trying to seal the com fittings. 2nd go today, using a thick 1/8" firm foam with rtv sealant.. If that don't work you'll hear the @#&^@# over there LOL.

I hear you! I also like the idea of being able to switch back to a butterfly set up easily, I like the S&S or Screamin Eagle butterfly intake manifolds because of the way they seal to the head

Just to update I installed the 99 and had to use the pilot jet out of the old butterfly carb #52 and she idle like a sabre tooth tiger! Haven't road tested yet (bloody rain) but hope to this week.

If I remember correctly, the jets are different between the butterfly and the CV, they will screw in and they look the same but I think the jet hole numbering scale is different

That made me go looking and you are correct.
Copied this from Zodiac site: Main and slow jets for the Keihin Butterfly carburetors as used on 1976-1989 Big Twin and 1976-1987 Sportster. Note that low speed jets (also known as pilot jet) for Keihin Butterfly and CV carburetors look very much the same but are NOT interchangeable. Butterfly pilot jets have 0.6mm bore bleed holes, whereas those for CV carbs have 0.8mm bore bleed holes.
It seems to idle OK with the #52 from the butterfly but is a bit rich when checking with the coloutune. I'll order the proper jets for the CV.
