Default Mags or spokes.

Have a 95 Dyna Convertible with mags. Always favored the classic wire wheels look and a buddy wants to trade his for my mags. Any disadvantage or difference beyond cosmetics I should be considering?
Thanks

I like spokes also, and have done it, if I remember right it may require different spacers

Personally I prefer mags because if I pick up a nail then I can use my stop and go kit and be back on the road 10 minutes later.
Granted spokes (if kept clean) are prettier but to me mags are more practicable.

That's all there is to it, right there, don't you think?

He has spokes, wants mags. You have mags, want spokes.

Advantages/disadvantages? I guess you could say mags put up with being ignored better than spokes do. And if you want your spokes to look clean and shiny all the time, you'll have to work at it. And periodic adjusting and all the rest.

But it's not like there is an overwhelming advantage either way. I say go with what you like, and make it work from there.

I prefer mags for the practicality. Yes, spokes look nice, but they are a PITA in my opinion.

Yes......My Ultra has mags and is great. The Dyna has spokes and looks great....but keeping them shiny is a PITA.

Not to mention the tube that goes with spokes.

Spokes for looks and Mags for practical use.

For myself a cleaned up mag looks as good as anything.
Did the spokes for a long time but after having to help out some fellow riders.
Ahh I'll go with the mag from here on out.

Spoke wheels take more time to clean.
