Smile Fixed ✅

Hello everyone!
My bike is finally fixed! 😁 Andrew over at Rosa’s Cycles (Long Island) was able to find the problem very quickly. He took apart the Top-end of the motor and found out that a Head-Bolt had gone loose and caused the Head-gasket to blow and get a hole 🕳 as if a bullet went through it. (Images attached for reference of all the parts Andrew replaced while taking the top end off.) Andrew replaced all necessary parts while also installing fresh gaskets and new pistons; the bike is running beautifully now.Andrew also told me that the previous owner of my bike had taken the engine apart and done a horrible job putting it back together (wrong gaskets and improper assembly)
Rosa cycles was recommended by 98hotrodfatboy (from this thread)) and also one of my friends. Rosa’s cycle shop is an amazing place where Andrew truly showed how much knowledge and experience he has on working with Harleys! He’s a great guy! I would definitely recommend going to him and getting your bike serviced if you’re located close enough. He also has a Dyno which he used to properly tune my bike with the CV carb. (He also
installed a new jetting kit on the CV carb)
I wanted to take my time to thank each and everyone of you for helping me finally resolve this issue. THANKS SO SO MUCH!

RIDE SAFE EVERYBODY! ✌️

So what pistons and cam are in there I'm thinking it's just stock compression yet with the EV27. And by the way Andrew is a pretty good guy.. When I was dealing with him he actually let me run his Dyno all by myself and tune my 96” stroker in his shop as he was busy with other things.. Who does that today...?

Call your mechanic and ask him if he checked the hyrdraulic lifter screen for debris. From the looks of the pictures you posted, there might be something in there. If it gets clogged, you won't get any oil to the top end. That's not a good thing.

If it was "Rosabilt" then it was built right. Andrew has been a master for decades.

Just a little sumpthin' to look at-
