Stock 50k service questions

Are the base gaskets leaking? If not, leave them alone. Otherwise, wounds like a plan. Inspect the cam carefully. Mine was shot at around 55K, and one lifter bad. With that fuel injection, you do want to keep it as close to stock as possible. Changes in anything will push you outside of what the ECU is expecting.

You can use stock lifters, a bit expensive.
Johnson Hy Lift have a good reputation, available from a member of the forum.
Lifters
Koyo B-138 or Torrington B-138 inner cam bearing.
If you decide to remove the cylinders, have your machinist true the bottoms, this will go a long way in preventing future base gasket leaks.

If it was my bike, and assuming you're going to pull the rockers so as to reuse the stock pushrods anyway, I'd go the extra step and re-gasket the whole thing, down to the bases. Cometic is good stuff.
I've got the stock L grind cam out of my '90. 36k miles on it. You're welcome to it for whatever you think is reasonable.
