Default refilling the primary question

I recently sold my sporty and purchased a 90 fxr. No manual yet. I have located the drain plug on the primary. Can someone tell me how to detect when it is full on refilling. It's different than the sporty. thank you

With the bike level, fill 'er up to the bottom of the clutch spring. If you don't know what that is...wait till you get a manual or ask a friend to see theirs. Any model should be similar...not sure on Sporties though.

Worked for me the last 20yrs.
Like mtnlvr stated, have the bike level & just keep pouring til you see the fluid reach the bottom of your opened derby cover. In other words the fluid should be just shy of overflowing out of the opened derby cover.
