Here's something you DON'T need for your Evo
Tomorrow, my closest HD dealer is putting on a "motorcycle" workshop you won't need if you're running an Evo:
Me and my Evo went on a 300 mile riding workshop Wednesday. About halfway through, we stopped for a gun and knife buying workshop. If you are in Hot Springs, I can recommend Arego's- ask for Cathy.
On their recommendation, I rode over to McClards for a BBQ eating workshop; been there since 1928. You can smell it before you see it. I got the sampler plate, but next time I would go all ribs; definitely the best I've had anywhere. Big, meaty, juicy and just the right balance of fall off bone and gnaw on the bone. Homemade carrot cake was good, too.
Finally, this new Jeep Gladiator caught my eye at a dealer and I stopped by for a wishful thinking workshop. This one has about $7800 worth of aftermarket work including lift and 35's, which put it just north of $56,000 FOR A JEEP! My first Jeep cost me 8 grand and I sold it five years later for 6. These new ones are WAY overpriced. They even had a bone stock Gladiator (fully loaded bone stock) that stickered just over 60!
Got a lot of compliments on the bike. Folks aren't used to seeing many of the older bikes anymore that are more sleek and have chrome. All the new bikes are blacked out and so stuffed full of oversize engine, they don't have any style. Anyway, no infotainment on this trip; just the road, the wind, and the motor. It was a good day.

I come here fir inspiration and and to clear my head.
My wife and I are raising an almost four year old grqnd son. Loves my bike LOL
I put all my faith in God. And the good doctors he sends my way.
You are all so awesome. The evo forum is really all I read.
I only threw that crap out there because what matters most in life is those things that define us for who we really are.
Im a biker!
Got me that. My queen with hers. And a grandson who will eventually fill my flip flops.
Keep the rubber side down. And your tank topped off.
I’m lovin my life!

"Innovative Entertainment System"...?????
On a motorcycle..??? OMFG.
I jumped on the Moonraker yesterday morning (1985 FXRS...295,000 mi.) and did a 250 mi RT hop to Jupiter, FL for a really good donut and cup of coffee. From the responses of the Volvo/Beemer crowd in the place, AND their kids...it would seem that I was the entertainment for them. The kids were the best part...they were great. I'm not exactly the sort they run across in their upscale enclave on a regular basis.

Ha! My first car was a 1976 T-bird hand-me-down... talk about a tank! '76 was a good year, God Bless America!
