Default loose rear sprocket

I recently purchased a 98 dyna superglide fxd and as w anything I buy I go over it every nut bolt n screw and apply liberal amounts of blue loctite. The guy who owned it b4 me had it maintained at HD so u would think things should be in order.....wrong!! Its got a 140 tire stuffed in it and the belt rubs a bit so Id assumed. Today I was cleaning the brake dust off my rear belt drive sprocket and heard a rattle so I start tapping on **** n come to find 3 of the 5 bolts holding the rear sprocket on are loose as fk!! Unbelievable, I posted this so all will realize things aren't always as they seem when something doesn't or isn't as per factory spec chk it very carefully. This could have ended very ugly for me.

I was wrong all 5 were loose!! It was leaning on the other 2. Hrd to believe these were put on at HD w no loctite.

I would take all 5 bolts out and check the pully for elongated holes and check the hub for boogered threads.

You never just but something and pretend all it's ok and then shock yourself with a loose bolt or 2... You need to go through the entire bike... Or like Tex said.....

Pulley Nuts out..?????
I'm confused. My rear drive pulley (1985 FXRS) is threaded into the hub. No nuts. Did the later 90's bikes have nuts securing the pulley through the hub..??
FWIW: My pulley came loose going down the road a while back. Got her to the shoulder and stopped safely. Ended up replacing the pulley, drilling the hub out and re-threading to 1/2 in. bolts. Reinstalled with red loctite and split ring lock washers.
