Advice on removing an exhaust stud.

Well I finally did. Had to buy the JIMS tool to do it, but it cam out great. I'm kind of a tool nut and I always say buy it once and do it right many times. Thanks again guys.

So was the stud broken all along? I got the impression you just wanted to remove them, unless I missed something.

I had to remove exhaust studs on a couple of car engines bcuz they snapped off. I used a torch and heated the block (right around the stud). As the block expanded the stud was able to turn. If the stud breaks then hopefully you have enough meat to weld on something that you can turn it with! Good luck!

i thought all shovels had 1 bolt each pipe not 4 studs
