94 Dyna Ignition System
Greetings!
I've got a 1994 Wide Glide that I'm wanting to change the cam sensor, ignition control module and the ignition coil. I am OVERWHELM with the choices that have to be made. Can anyone direct me to a good quality, basic ignition system? I do not want programmable modules, high performance parts, or single / dual fire systems; I just need the parts to work together like the originals parts did. I have a strong automotive electrical / electronics back round so I could do any wiring needed but would prefer a "plug and play" system.
THANKS!

If you need to replace it all (not sure why you need to replace it all?)
You can go stock with a stock type cam sensor in the nose cone for about 50 bucks, and then replace the standard module with a known good used one, that is under the chrome cover on the left side of your bike by the fuse box (if defective, but they usually don't go bad.
However, I would strongly suggest you don't. Instead, get one of these (link below) and it will replace the ignition module behind that chrome cover, and it will replace the cam sensor in the nose cone and it will have a better ignition advance curve (4 choices), allowing you to select 4 different curves, and allowing you to program in different curves, retard timing, etc.
HOWEVER, you don't need to program anything. Just select curve #2 for a stock bike and be done with it. It will be fine till you decide (if you decide) to up grade.
Your stock coil will be fine unless there is something wrong with it also. I would like to hear what problem your having? YD
