Tom, The best tool you can own is a shop manual. Check out E-bay for one (HD not Clymers) although having both sometimes helps.

look into it asap I had the needle berring go out in my 96 1340, major problems. trashed my cam, pinion, breather gear, shredded every gear in my oil pump. Had to replace the case also. Major project. Ended up going with stage 4 when I had it rebuild. Screaming Eagle is right!! I have not had it on the dyno yet but I can't wait.
