How far does the voltage drop on your battery when you are hitting the start button?
Fully charge the battery before doing the above test.

I don't see a voltage problem and I don't think your motor is stock.. I also see that the enricher on your S&S is full on.. I hear the starter kicking out at times when it almost fires which is normal cause when it almost fires it's spinning faster than the starter drive and will kick out.... Other times when the motor stops turning it sounds like Hydro lock. In other words with the enricher on your S&S is sucking too much fuel and in a hi compression motor it will cause a condition known as hydro lock... We asked you last year what the compression of the motor is.... Did you ever test it? I don't think you have a starter problem I think you have not found the right way your motor likes to be started... Do a compression test and get back to us...

You need a new starter motor... and maybe some other things, but I'd begin there.

Inricher was at about half because bike was cold....the arm looks high due to teardrop cover not installed... Cranks exactly the same when no gas is on and carb bowl is empty.....I think I also hear the jackshaft galling when it spins backward....no compression test yet will asap...thanks for the imput
